The emphasis of this North End kitchen remodel was to maintain original cabinetry and design a new layout with upgrades throughout. All of the cabinets on this wall are original. Panels in the upper cabinets were cut out and replaced with reeded glass. Hidden lighting was installed and the insides were painted burgundy red. This elevated the ceiling and gave the kitchen cabinets a transom-like look and feel. The entry to the dining room was arched to match openings throughout the main floor. New granite countertops with an undermount sink graciously receive the original wall mounted faucet and new tiled backsplash. The client selected sleek brushed chrome hardware for all doors and drawers.
